What did you do to your TJ today?

What smoke machine did you get? I’ve been thinking about getting one to have on hand.

Its the red Autoline Pro, worked much better I expected. It was $70 on Black Friday from Amazon. They had a $50 one but the reviews were sketchy. Just connect to the battery & an air compressor & it was smoking like a damn chimney after about 3-4 mins.
Just dug up an old keyed Stant gas cap that had thrown a code before but it seems much tighter than my current stock gas cap.

Ok a few small ones.

We got to be in the Main Space when the engines were fired up. Double ear protection and coveralls. We watched them fire 2 V16 Colt-Pielstick There are 4 on board the NY and my son, Ben and his bestie, Jerry, yes Ben and Jerry, are in charge of Main 1 that houses these two. They are massive and awesome. They dry crank the engine 3 minutes to prelube the cylinders just like I do my Shovelhead.

The two laughing are my cousin Sean and my brother from another mother Rory. Both played a huge role in building the character my son is.

If’n I knew how to share a video I’d let you hear em run. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This is an LCAC entering the hull of the ship pretty badass. They put two in there and then they left the following morning to head to Little Creek.

We BS’d with the Captain and so many other amazing Sailors that have volunteered to serve.

Saw some cool artwork. My son is a Snipe. Look it up

We played Star Wars in the Helo Bridge. Here you see Han and Chewy flying the Millennium Falcon.

Tomorrow we chill and make thanksgiving dinner for Ben and a few other Sailors. Sunday he goes back to the ship and we head home. He will be home (NY) by Christmas for a two week leave.

While home we will go see how that Rubi wheels.

Thanks for your support in this build and interest in my trip.

God bless America and the US Military

🇺🇸

Is he in Norfolk / Virginia Beach?

I'd be interested to see the performance of this head.

Do you not have the dual cats at the header?

The exhaust ports are way bigger than stock, especially the 0331.You need to run banks headers or some other expensive brand with large enough primaries. None of the cheap headers i found didn't obstruct flow. The total gets towards 3000$ before adding a cam or other parts to wake it up.

Here's one guys swap

Aftermath of the Savvy shift kit installation. The aftermarket shift lever was contacting the 4 Lo end of the plastic slot more than I'd like. I had originally bent it so it wouldn't do that, but the corrected geometry of the new shifter pushed it back a tiny bit, so I increased the bend, repainted and reinstalled it.

Am I looking at a cool old vice there, Zorb?

Its an old Wilton "Shop King" - that actually was tossed out by my metal shop teacher in High School. I put new jaws on it and repainted it and have been using it ever since. About 3 years ago, I got better jaws and repainted it again. Shop Kings are fairly light duty, but look cool with a sort of Art Deco or Streamline Moderne look. Some of them came with pipe jaws, this one did not but I bought a set on eBay that came from an unknown brand/model of vise. Looks factory!

It had a swivel base when I got it, but it cracked years back, so I just bolted it down directly.

Oh, and...

However, it turns out that the Brits use "vice" for both meanings. "Vise" is an Americanism.
