What did you do to your TJ today?

Changed head light bulbs

You have to give more detail to qualify for points.

Which side first? How’d you decide?

Did you replace with stock bulbs or upgrade?

Was there a story? Did you like get on a rainy road and not be able to see and slam into a truck loaded with watermelons,

Were they on low or high when you turned them on?

Did you buy them off the shelf or order them?

Are the new ones better?

Did your wife see the bill and get all mad and start crying and saying mean stuff like ours do?

We keep careful records of all this in your membership file. Then later, like if you get a divorce and they subpoena our records, we can help you and like slow roll the release of information (for a reasonable fee, we call it a processing charge) by passing it back and forth between my office and Chris’s. We just tell them we are doing an internal review first.

This is why it is so important to get those quarterly dues into us on time. We got your back.

Plug n play if you get the kit. You pick your generation TJ and it comes with the cables needed. Might be a little challenging to unplug the factory lights if they have never been unplugged before. Old and crusty!

Can't find those on the Q website other than with replacement headlight bulbs as well - do they not sell them separately any more?

You forgot to ask him what his ass smells like , my dogs would have been all up in that !

I know this isn't a "big deal" to those who have had a Jeep for some time, but I replaced the bump stop cup and jounces on my TJ. It all started when I was fixing some rust spots on the wheels--that led to Por-15 on the brake drums, then bump stops, , , , :)

Looks great man!

By comparison, I've had one broken off floating inside one of my front springs for five years.

Had the week off and the weather in the NE has been fantastic. Finally got a few Jeep TJ days and go a few small things done…

Cluster refresh: Replaced all the bulbs in the cluster and HVAC controls with cool white leds. Huge improvement. Painted the gauged needles orange. Rearranged some of the idiot lights (removed the upshift indicator and the security bulbs and moved them to the low washer fluid and Full Time 4WD which oddly were missing, cleaned all the contacts and applied contact gel which hopefully stops the intermittent issue with gauges dropping out.

Headlight Upgrade (again): Loved the pattern of the Koito / Toyo H4’s, but hated the temperature.

The only incandescent bulbs that remain are the front parking / direction indicators... EVERYTHING else has been upgraded to LEDs.

That just means you've always got a reason to work on your TJ--nice to have a project on your list--I see it as "down time work"!

Bought me a CHEAP driveable (but sketchy) TJ. Needs torque box and floor pan on driver side. Frame is patched poorly but is not complete fallen apart. Either going to flip it, or budget LS and frame swap it. Does have some goodies I can swap on to my nicer TJ like a sound bar with tweeters.

Sounds like a good plan. Well, except for the whole LS part…

😉

Given the work needed, did you get a good deal?

$2k delivered to my house. Drove it up the street and it is very floaty. I have new KYBs on my restored TJ and I want to go Rancho on that for ride quality. The KYBs might end up on this one to help the floaty feeling for now until I figure out what I want to do. I have too many LS engines and parts lying around so would be nice to give them a good home.

Just came from my insurance company and put full coverage on the Jeep. They had to inspect it in person. First time ever that I've had full coverage on any of my Jeeps, because I'm a risk taker. 😬

I have full coverage on all three jeeps. I did the math a while back and it made sense to keep it if only for full glass and rental if the vehicle goes down.
