It's fun.
And it's the last real Jeep in the lineage. IMHO

LOL I just sold a 1997 Geo Tracker so I could finally buy my Jeep!Before I ever had a TJ, I had a "poor man's Jeep" Suzuki Samurai (for 6 months). I will never complain about anything on my Jeep again. A TJ is a Caddy in every way compared to that.
Stats;
Carbureted 1.3-liter overhead-cam four-cylinder delivering 63 horsepower and 74-lb-ft of torque. Manual-locking front hubs were standard. It was noisy and slow—MotorTrend clocked it from 0 to 60 mph in 16.9 seconds.

I know you like Mercedes. I could have got you this nice Unimog with only 20,000 miles on it for $15,000. The guy was an hour away from me.Been jonesing for a Jeep or Willy's pickup since high school. I settled on the TJ as I'm really too old for projects, although I'd still really rather have a flat fender or Willy's pickup. Still, the coil spring comfort cannot be denied, and having a real top with real air conditioning is a must here in Florida. I could do without the plastic dash, and really wish I could have a twin stick xfer case. But those are nits - I'm having fun fixin' 'er up!
Because I like it
Well, except JK’s and JL’s that is......because you can't put an angry grill on anything else ..........
Is that before or after the PBR?as I got older, my reaction time has slowed and eyesight not as good
Your Chevy had 4 doors and a hatch or tailgate. There's a play pen, crib, 6 man canvass tent, air mattresses, and fishing gear in that bundle. No smart phone.we went all over the west in a 64 Chevy II station wagon. We did not have such a big bundle on top.
