They've been out for quite awhile and not worth buying. Far better options out there for almost half the price and that actually bolt on correctly and don't use the body mounts

What does bolt on correctly mean? These bolt onto the tub with a backing plate/bracket that ties into the seat mounts. These do add the step that mounts to the slider via a bracket, and that slips between tub and mount. All the others I’ve seen mounts to body mounts in addition to the sides.

I download and read the manuals for products I consider buying…

Look over this section of the instructions to see how the step bolts on and read on forum why using the body mounts is a poor design.

EDIT: @jjvw, a Motobilt Slider is already there. If it’s different from the boat side with step, they didn’t change the mounting design.

You suffer from the same lack of comprehension that others do that think I swear by anything. I use specific products for very specific needs. That doesn't mean I swear by anything. I will however, swear at lots of stupid shit. Here is a set of the Genright versions I installed. What do you notice about them?

They don't have the step, you can see the raised body mounts, and they are higher clearance. We also cap off the front end to keep shit out of them.

I'll tell you exactly how to destroy the body, mount any slider that will get used with the body mounts. Dumbest idea ever.

That's exactly why these aren't mini-boatsides. All they are is a ramped rock rail. The GR ones add about 1.5" clearance vs the Rubicon rockers and closer to 2" for any other aftermarket ones. Compare that to these that probably give up 1.5-2" because of the poor design. Bending a little pinch seam isn't that big of a deal if you actually want to solve problems.

But hey, at least they have places to use a hilift jack!

We are afraid to fold over the pinch seam, but we have no problem drilling a bunch of holes in the tub and installing a slider that can damage the body mounts.

We don't see damaged body mounts, we see damage to the tub from the slider not being securely attached.

So I found, with some digging, the thread on sliders. What drew me to the Motobilt is i like the look. After reading, I see that the JCR‘s of the same basic appearance have better attachment of the step. I saw your recommended requirements, and they seem to reach all… @JMT said his hesitance to them is they aren’t ww2ww, but that is just the step, while the rocker plate is ww2ww.

@mrblaine , what benefit does the bracket they have that runs to the seat gain? Is it just to transfer any side impacts over a larger area to keep tub integrity? Would it be more beneficial to install a backing plate to bolt through to like what the Savvy system uses?
