What did you do to your TJ today?

Fixing to wheel the mess out of it-

Just hit Georgia

What year is that from and what paint did you use?

My jeep is a 97 and came with a full console ( fancy LOL ) , it is the spice color like all the interior was. Spice is a little to orange looking to me and I am making a Levi edition tribute jeep. I am Dyeing the interior with Denim Blue and Sand Dollar a Krylon paint from Lowes, hard to find in stock. The Sand Dollar looks very simular to the late model tan.

I have Regatta Blue carpet from ACC and Blue Denim seats to put in hopefully today to finish the interior , except the door panels, hope to get them off today so I can dye them. I clean them good and use adhesion paint wet on damp with three coats over a good cover of the adhesion , seems to be working good . Dash was the hard part , took me three weekends.
Cheers William

ok I made a mistake and threw away then console top when I threw away the back half of the console that came with the Jeep. The rear console fell apart in several pieces when I removed it. Who knew the top by itself was so expensive? The front half is in pretty good shape. So now I am a bit torn as to just find a 2 cup holder attachment or find an intact rear section in Cammel Tan. I like the elbow / arm rest and a place to store phone charging cables and such. But, is it out there and someone not asking for my first born or arm and leg for it? Is it just better to save up and buy a full Tuffy setup or a BestBilt arm rest with built in switches and litghts? I have the OEM subwoofer assembly on the bench but from reading various threads, that is worthless so unless someone says differently it is going in the round file . So now I guess I am searching for a rear section that is "non-subwoofer" so I have the largest storage area under an armrest. After market subwoofer will go under the seat, but that is so down the road.

Second question for the audience at large. I am really undecided about the external rack the Jeep came with from the previous owner. I don't overland. if I want to camp out I am thinking I want a camper in the back of my truck. I am a huge fan of "versatility", but considering my life style, I don't know if I would ever utilize the roof top rack and I sure don't like the damage it does to the MPG. I don't know, maybe it would be interesting taking up multi day trips in the outback? Still mulling over pulling it and Craigslist-Ing it to off set the cost of a lift. Any input on keeping the rack or dumping it out there?

If you need a dual cup holder for that front half I have one laying around collecting dust

Most straps are on the inside? How come yours are outside.
It's a Rampage product , the straps hold down a flap that covers a pocket you can store the side and back windows in. Turns into an extended bikini top with just the straps hanging down in the back. There are straps on the inside too, rap around the back seat belts , kind of a top on a top in the back. It's a frameless top, I really like it .

The lid was missing on my stock console when I bought the Jeep. Finding a little didn’t seem to be as easy as I expected it to be so I ended up ponying up for the tuffy. I’ve been very happy with it. I went non subwoofer to get a little more lockable storage space.

Gotcha. I thought maybe that was the deal

Very nice. I’m looking for new aluminum wheels. Which are those?
Hey Woodrow,
They are made by Ultra Wheels and called Ultra 50's , they are 15x8 and of course 5 on 4.5 with a 3.75 offset so they stick out ever so much. -19mm I thought they where a good price ... I paid just over 750 for the 5 of them. My wife even said she liked so they are wife approved LOL !

I was able to find a console from someone parting out a Rubicon but it cost me $250.00. They’re out there just need to keep looking.

oh that would be great, thank you. Hit me up with a PM with your contact details. I am going to build a set of seat risers today, I can swing by and pick it up when I am out getting new bolts if your around.
