Jeep JL

Check it out! The windshield still folds down!

Looks like it has a separate A-pillar, and you don't have to remove any part of the sport cage to fold it down...

wow she's a looker allright .....but I'm thinking with all the gadgets and gizmos the simplicity or working on yourself could be numbered :( it just means that new Jeep JL owners will look at gimmicky JK type things to put all over it ...( I hope I'm wrong)

I agree, it does look better than the JK (to me at least). I don't like all the bells and whistles (I prefer the simplicity of my TJ), but if I had to get a 4 door Wrangler, I'd choose this over the JKU.

I'm not fond about how the lights cut into the outer slots on the grille though.

Actually the grill changes are what I like the most, back to the CJ style with the lights denting into the outer slots. and the slight angle near the top of the grill being a throw back to the YJ grill.

Interesting article on the new JL, focused on the Rubicon but mentioning the Sahara and Sport, over on the Fourwheeler web site.

It seems the there have been a few Jeep engineers hanging out on the forums and actually listening to what actual users of their product do. I'm impressed.

Oh, and no manual transmission for the Diesel. Bummer. But a Warn bolts right up to the front bumper. 35's fit from the factory, and clear at full flex with either a fender trim (trim lines thoughtfully provided by the factory) or an optional 2" MOPAR lift. And yes, the Rubicon gets factory HiLine fenders.

Don'tcha think that would look good sitting next to my Blue SE?!

I had heard that 35s would be bolt on right out of the gate and be no issues. Wow that is awesome. 35s no lift and LCOG build...they nailed it. That's awesome

Oh how I bet that’s going to be a HIGH price tag.

Just read that article. Way cool. Thanks for sharing...

My first gut reaction to the JLR is that it's a bases loaded home run over the left field fence. I was expecting a watered down mommy mobile and got a TJR on steroids. If it's reliable and field fixable...wow. just wow.
My Honda Accord I bought a few months back now has a potential buyer come Sunday. I love this TJR, but that JL is so damn nice. I will prolly have to wait for the coveted 3.0 diesel and half doors, but I have a feeling in a year I'll be sitting in one. Any idea of new colors for this model year? Has that stuff came up yet? I don't know if I could trade in or sell this tj tho. Might have to just keep both.

I'm freeing up room in the garage for a JL is what I'm getting at hahaha realized I didn't explain that very well. I'll tell the mrs when the time comes haha

As nice as the newer JKs were, having had a new-from-the-factory JK Rubicon, the newer JK never tempted me to get one. The JL does. I'm not into diesels, the 3.6 I had in my 2012 was way more than enough for me. If they've improved on that, it would be worth having. We'll see when they hit the dealerships...

I too had a JK, and it was meh....wasn't a Rubicon so I never really loved it. The JL is tempting. Can't wait to drive one. I'm not so sold on the interior tho. Has a renegade vibe to me. To modern looking for my taste. The exterior makes up for it tho.
