Sans the body lift butt crack, that bumper looks super clean on there. Sorry brah, the hatred in body lifts is strong with this one.
May the force be with you in this epic decision!

Set your mind on all the advantages! It’s all mind over matter

I emailed DPG and told them everything I had done so far and what it would take for 35" KM2s. Awaiting their response. I want 35s again bad hahaha
And sell me your 33’s! LOL

35's ain't cheap. You gotta pay to play! You might need to go with a double carden Driveshaft at that much lift. That will require rear control arms, another trackbar bracket and some shock relocation brackets (cuz the axle has to rotate to point the pinion toward the T-Case).

OR, you could install a t-case drop...

I have a good idea of what all I need now. That black 2005 unlimited at cross looks better and better every day when I factor in everything I would have to do to get to 35s lol. And that one has 37s! Would like to drive it to see what it rides like hmmm haha

Yep, I agree. I’ve been tempted on one they had. Almost sold mine to buy. Would have saved a chunk of change actually

In cab winch control installed. More to come...Tire deal through community buy didn’t work out in the pricing department . They wanted 232/Tire Cooper STT PRO. I can get those at a Wally World for 213

Can’t decide between the Copoper STT’s in 33x12.5 and the KM2’s in 33x10.5. Opinions? My BS is 3.7”.

If it was between those two I’d get the STT’s, although when I looked at 10.5” tires I fell in love with the toyo MTs. Whats your backspacing on your current rim? I can take some photos to give you an idea how much 10.5s stick out from the rubi/sahara flares.

My tires I guess are 10.5 I thought they were 11. KM2s and I still get mud slung up everywhere I couldn't imagine 12.5 lol

I've got 10 inch wide tires, and get mud all over. My friend has 12.5 maxis bighorns, he gets mud EVERYWHERE. Windshield, windows, hood, you name it. It's not even fun with the doors off, it flies all over.

Backspacing is 3.7". So I know a 12.5" will stick out 1 inch further than my 10.5's are now, and they're already outside the flares. Here's the deal though, everyone here is complaining about mud flinging everywhere. WE don't have mud. I almost never get in mud, maybe three times a year for 10 feet, and usually that's at an off-road park. We literally get around 20" of rain a year. What I'm dealing with is DD and rocks, rocks, and more rocks. That's why extra in the sidewalls is important for my situation. I appreciate all your opinions.

I'm so limited when it comes to 33x10.5's. I listed all I could find, which is about 10-12 different tires, three of which are made by Interco, and basically the KM2 is the best of them, and it's actually more expensive than the 33x12.5 Cooper STT Pro's by ~$13/tire. I also like having the Armor Tek in the sidewall of the Cooper's. It becomes a pretty narrow search when you're trying to get that strength in the sidewall for the rocks. Keep the opinions coming!

You know my opinion here. Yes, you are limited to only a few choices with the pizza cutter tire, but they handle great on the road, better in the rain and snow, less rolling mass, so less weight, easier on suspension components, brakes etc.. You can air them down and get a substantial contact patch for grip. BFG's balance well, Cooper's not so much. Maybe the STT Pro is better than the 1st gen STT, so can't comment on that I guess.

If I ever move up to 35s I sure will miss my pizza cutters. Loving them rn though ;).

I find it hard to disagree. At 15 yards it looks killer. Up close not so much. I’m hoping the 33’s will distract. Haven’t got pricing yet on the 33’s. They’re wholesale, so it’s a community buy type of thing. I’m hoping to get the Mickeys or Coopers for $150 per. If so I’ll get 5 and another DC-2 and be set for awhile.
Group buys are honestly one of the best ways to get expensive products for cheap.

Ok... so you might not have mud, but you have stones, right? Stones will be flung up against the body just like mud is. Maybe that's not a big deal either?

We have crushed granite on our driveway, it’s the one major reason I go with an M/T, they don’t pick up near as many as an A/T. When I wheel there are loose rocks, but it’s rock crawling, so speeds are slow.

I don’t know! More than anything I’m worried about it looking stupid, but at the same time I really need a heavily reinforced sidewall. I’ll research some more 10.5’s. I take your words as a word of caution worthy of further investigation. Thanks!
