Front "Great-Value" Antirock?

I wouldn't spend 200 bucks for a knoc off antirock... but I would definitely want to see someone get one and discuss with him what were the pros and cons... what's the problem?

As I related, they have already been discussed elsewhere. They had very quick torsion bar failures. The only pro is the price, the cons are many. You are supporting bullshit companies with even a single sale. You are condoning the theft of intellectual property. You are condoning the circumvention of development costs and the right to recover them. You support turning quality aftermarket parts into the offroad version of Walmart and all the insidious practices associated with that business model.

You didn't. Mine was $325 including shipping through Savvy in 2014. And people complained about how expensive the Antirock was back then, too.

Currently $535 plus shipping from Poly Performance....

And as a side note Walmart used their business model to become the worlds top retailer . It does drive me a little nuts , but Walmart didn't ask either one of us what we think of the business model.

While we are looking at the same business model, we are seeing two vastly different sides of it. Being the top retailer doesn't change the underlying methodology they used to get there. On the surface, they are known for price, not quality. If you buy a Snapper brand lawnmower there, it will not be the same quality and durability that made Snapper known for being a high quality and durable product. Instead, it will be the least possible effort and quality they can do to get it in the store and that is the business model I despise. I do not fault Walmart, they are only delivering what the market wants. It is very similar to this piece of shit knock-off, if folks weren't silly enough to believe they are getting an equivalent product at 1/3rd the price, there would be no incentive to make the copy.

One of the greater things we can do to increase our self awareness is learn to recognize our own hypocrisy and work on not being that way.

Well, not for nothing but Home Depot is not any better. Many years ago when the patio misting set-ups first started, I had a buddy who had a machine shop that was really good at making the little nozzles for them. Home Depot approached him with a massive order to supply all of their stores. He signed the contract, bought lots of machines and hired lots of folks to fulfill the order. When the yearly contract came up for renewal, this time HD told HIM the price he was going to make them for. His choices at that point were to shut down and figure out what to do with partially paid off machines, or, fulfill the order at what was his cost, make no money and just keep the doors open for zero profit. This was before the massive influx of offshore goods so he wasn't familiar with that option.

that's basically cultural at every large company all the way from retail to the manufacturer themselves.

At one former employer we used to joke about how we would never get in business with ourselves, if it were us. Multiple suppliers were run out of business because they couldn't continually cut prices 5% every year while their expenses were going up. Others declined to continue the relationship when the contract was up for renewal. Still others would hang on but provide poor quality or delivery but we were stuck tolerating it because no one would compete with them on pricing. Sometimes it got so bad we would just insource the products we were buying from them - in fact at one point we ran our control panel manufacturer out of business and couldn't find an alternative so we hired their employees and bought some of their equipment and started building our own. Our corporate goals were to cut our costs every year but the quickest way we did it was by forcing the cuts on our suppliers and then the procurement team got a pat on the back at the end of the year. I was glad to avoid those shenanigans for the most part, though my first project was to qualify an alternate fan motor supplier just so we would have an exit strategy if the current one didn't want to play ball. In engineering I mostly worked to make things quicker or less complex to build, or consolidate the supply chain so our suppliers could leverage economies of scale by selling us larger quantities of fewer items and pass on those savings. But I always found it unreasonable and ridiculous to expect them to give us savings just because another year had passed by.

I don’t have a problem with where it is made, it’s more of an issue will quality.

A lot of compromises are being made for that price. If any part of that fails while driving it could become a huge safety issue.

Imagine taking a sharp corner and having one of the components fail!!
