No horn when key in "on" position

Horn will not work when the key is in the "On" position. Running or not running does not make a difference.

Works fine in all other key positions.

Fuse looks good.
Switched relay with fuel pump relay. No Change.
Cleaned the ground right near the horns under the hood. No change.
Swapped horn switch from a buddies tj real quick. No change.

Could it be the clock spring??

Just seems odd for it to not work only when the key is in the on position....

If the horn works in any ignition switch position the clockspring is fine. Sounds like a bad ignition switch or someone rewired the associated circuitry incorrectly.

I wouldn't have suspected the ignition switch. Just since I haven't seen it on any diagrams associated with the horn.

Horn has worked correctly before. No changes or additions in wiring since ownership.

I did replace the lock cylinder awhile back. Not sure if that is when the change happened or not. Just noticing this issue recently.

I must tip my hat and say thank you sir! I'll admit I was skeptical but she works like a charm now. I'm sure my neighbors are happy for this to be solved too lol.

Yep, grabbed one from Advanced Auto this morning. Slapped it in and all is good. Horn honks in all positions now.
