Ok. I sorted out my backlash. Getting 0.008 to 0.009 around the gear. Here is my pattern. Looks a touch deep? Or good to go?

What is the consensus on relocating the upper perches. Should I plan to cut down the longer side ears so I can slide it back further, or do people swap the side to side?
Cut the ears. It doesn't take much to hold a spring perch in place.
I have heard people like to align the hole on the top of frame with the center of the perch. How do you handle clearance on the trackbar bolt, for us doors who have a trackbar?
Does anyone turn it around or use a shorter bolt to avoid contact with the spring?
Threw this old driveshaft in and put the savvy cable shifter in. Once i realized the ball ends of the cable shifter were removable, life was easy.
