Mike, @hosejockey61, always does a fantastic job of simplifying installs. I've got a PSC system to install and this gave me a chance to take a look at his video. While I've installed a PSC steering system before, I didn't include a cylinder assist. I learned some valuable tips there!
 
I don't remember the lights all around the top lift platform. Not sure if new, but nice in addition to all the other work. Everything really came together well.

And those neon lights look awesome! Must have been expensive 😉

I was originally thinking I'd move the hardtop platform, but discovered it makes a great place to add lights, which considerably brightens up both the toolbox and desk area. My old eyes need every break they can get. That's why these readers are everywhere now! ;)

I missed those lights on the hardtop platform in the earlier pics — welp, not I have another item to add to the garage 'to do' list ;)
 
I'm effectively done with the garage organize/modernize work. Things are put away, labeled, workspace maximized, and technology is now integrated into the garage. While I currently have a garage heater, there is no A/C.

Next on my list is a mini split system, then a garage lift. The limitation on any lift install is the fact that my maximum ceiling height is 11 feet. I'm still thinking over the options, so if anyone has suggestions, please let me know what to look for and/or be concerned about!

You know what's better than readers sometimes? 3X magnifiers. They have made a huge difference for a lot of different reasons!

I am in the process of acquiring the parts for that same install, @hosejockey61's video was informative and instrumental in kicking my ass in gear to accomplish this mod...
 
Had one light left and used Velcro to attach it to the bottom of the Packout cabinets. The lights were shining in my face, so I ran strips of electrical tape to reduce light directed at the eyes. Worked out better than expected. This gives me a well lighted work surface.

After working on the garage, the Jeep got jealous and threw a P0301, cylinder #1 misfire, code. The plugs were actually okay, but this gave me the opportunity to practice diagnostic skills. Checked plugs, spark, compression, leak down, and fuel. All was good there.

- Compression numbers were all between 170 and 165. While these numbers seem a little high, likely the gauge, the spread was good.
- Leak down test was a PIA, but the numbers were all good as well:
  • #1: (leak down) 72/80 (pressure) = 10% leakage
  • #2: 78/80 = 2.5%
  • #3: 75/80 = 6.25%
  • #4: 78/80 = 2.5%
  • #5: 78/80 = 2.5%
  • #6: 78/80 = 2.5%
After the leak down test, I checked the bolts on the intake and found the two front bolts, near #1 cylinder, were a little loose, so I tightened them and reran the leak down test. This time cylinder #1 was 75/80, or 6.25%. All these numbers were great and eliminate mechanical issues. Also, while the plugs were out, I ran a borescope camera and saw some carbon buildup on the top of the pistons, but nothing abnormal on the cylinder wall.

As one additional test I put a stethoscope on each injector, and they are all firing strong. Since I was in there, new Autolite APP985 plugs went in, gaped at.035. I started it up and ran it for a few minutes, with no misfire, but I'm not confident just tightening up a couple manifold bolts would resolve the issue.

Since this Jeep only sees short trips, I'm sure that's part of the problem. I'll add some injector cleaner and do some heavy right foot driving.

I've had a Genright front fender kit sitting in boxes for a couple years now. Since I want to paint all the aluminum armor body color, now is the time to get it test fitted and installed, in preparation for painting later in the Summer. I went with the 4" standard fenders and inner fender kit. I've been going back and forth on the airbox options and will stick with the stock airbox, for now. I'll end up having to make some sort of bracket for it, which should be relatively straight forward. Having been down this path before, the worst part is going to be re-locating alIl the factory mounting brackets and wiring.
