GATORB8 LJ Build

May be a challenge. With no body lift one of the assist lines is dead on the radiator tank. Hopefully the fitting clears once I install it.

Driveshafts measured up, I’ll order tomorrow.

Using Oliver’s in Winston Salem, Libby there is awesome, talked me right through everything and is going to back calculate from the case tag for the SYE.

No complaints with the rear shaft I had Oliver’s make me, but Tom Woods was a LOT cheaper and faster than them. Like a $300 difference on each shaft.

Interesting, had the opposite experience last time, built same day and cheaper.

I’d check with both to make sure before pulling the trigger. The price difference on the rear shaft (1350 cv to 1350 with their heavy tube) would have paid for the front shaft I got from TW. I’m all about supporting the local shop but it’s a big difference to eat.

How much uptravel are you getting before the front tires get into the rear fenders?

TBD because I fucked up the drag link length, cut to sleeve it today if I need to.

I have to limit steering significantly with the high steer even with the waggy pitman, so I’m optimistic I’ll be able to keep the 4” uptravel I’m set at.

I stuck with Oliver's since Libby had been so great. Here's my pricing for reference:

Your rear was a good bit cheaper than mine from them. 1350cv to 1350 heavy tube and probably in the same ballpark lengthwise was $850ish from them. My 40” 1350-1350 2x.120” front was $350 shipped from Tom Woods. Starting fresh with all new parts for both of them.
