In a time pinch, would this work?

1 1/2" PVC Pipe, cut to correct length, Cap both ends, drill holes in each end, paint black and bolt onto the lower spring perch up front and extend the rear uppers?

I'm open to other ideas but materials have to be ON HAND or READILY AVAILABLE.

That would work until it doesn't. :)

Many people, myself included, successfully use plastic body lift pucks as bump stop extension. They are a tougher material and have more meat then PVC pipe.

Hockey pucks for the front. But they may not be readily available in Texas. I've never seen them is SC either, but they happen to come with my lift.

I’m no genius, but most caps I’ve seen are domed on the top. I used econo plugs for my bump stops and it works great. You should be able to get them at a plumbing supply. If interested I can find pics and/or a link.

Yeah, I'd use those but they're not around our town. I keep trying to think o some place that would carry a 1 1/2" plastic rod that we could cut down.

I also thought of trying to reinforce the 1 1/2" PVC with some 1 1"4", then 1" and 1/2" inside. This is literally a project that is going down tomorrow. Guy is traveling in and we are bumpstopless. He wanted to get some hockey pucks from Academy but this is TX, no carry those here. I'm just trying to brainstorm something that would work or at least work for awhile.

Exactly, we were going to use hockey pucks, but the Academy's in TX don't carry them

Something like this without the wing nut?

This is temporary, right?

Wood blocking? Plywood? Use them like hockey pucks. Something denser than pine.

That’s exactly it. I tapped the front and got longer bolts. It is metal on the top and bottom and the middle is rubber but only on the outside. Plus it has a little give which I like. You can stack them or add a hockey puck if you need. I did them on the upper rears also. Works great. Very cheap also.

I thought of that. I've got some solid hardwood poplar about 2 1/2 inches thick. I'm a woodworker so I could probably cut those into cylinders if my bits are good enough. Better than PVC I guess?

Great idea, thanks. I'll let you know how this turns out. Looks like we're helping each other out today. In the future we can do this Dana 44 and Dana 30 stuff together too.

Plywood feels like the better option. It won't split.

Yes, temporary, unless it's a great solution....

Ya we were on each other’s threads at the same time. I don’t think they are too soft. The rubber is pretty thick. I’ll post them.

I'm contemplating. Ply rots at the edges. I've got plenty of it in 3/4", just stack to the 1 1/2-2" we'll need. Painted I'm doubtful the poplar would crack, just my thoughts. I appreciate your help

That might be your best route giving your time constraints.

Here ya go. They come in different sizes. 11/2”-4”. The black is Jones Stevens brand and the red are Pasco. The Pasco are a bit thicker but both will work.

Soft Composite vs Hard PVC. 2.5 Tons of impact+compression, that's gonna work till it don't

Well like I said, I’m no genius or expert and I suppose that something more rigid would be best. But the econo is just a DIY creation or homemade invention that I came across. The rubber is very dense and hard to collapse but I do see your points on it possibly not working with all of that weight on it. I just don’t think that it would be an issue. Maybe I’ll throw one in a vice and see what happens.
