No pictures but I'm going to rebuild our deck next spring. It was built by a PO and is not in good shape, lots of rot and the way the ground has shifted it is no longer level

I really really like your ponds! Are they a lot of maintenance? I would like to put one in also and add fish.
In my case, you can see a tub on one end with water hyacinths in it, and there is another tub on the opposite end with a celery-type flowering plant. I have a pump in the middle of the pond that pumps to both of those tubs, and the roots of the plants are my filters, with both spilling back into the main pond. The water stays clear year-round using that method. The only maintenance is to clean a filter wrap around the pump intake basket, which takes about 5 minutes every few months. Every other year or so I muck out the bottom of the pond with a skimmer.
This is my pond project lately. Leaking pipe and need to cut out one more section of concrete, fix the leak and put it back together.
Having a swimming pool is a pain in the ass. I broke my foot 5 months ago falling in it. Our pet cat died a couple weeks ago in it. Now this. It’s cursed lol
Maybe I should drain and make it a skate park

yeah a pool was the one thing we did not want when we bought the house...but found the right house and it had it. 2 brick patios later, last summer's one started out as a liner job and morphed into new paver patio, salt system, hot tub, led lights in pool......$40,000++ later

Had a friend that did exactly that, converted a 20,000 gallon pool to a pond.....then again they also had over 100 fish tanks in the basement.Plant some fish in it and we'll come over and go fishing and drink beer!

Not exactly a yard project, but a neighborhood project. My wife found a wooden crate made out of 1x4 boards, that seemed pretty solid as a foundation, so I put some old fence wood around it, framed a roof for it, covered that with one solid piece of sheet metal, and added a hinged door for the front with plexiglass panels. Then I welded up a stand for it (pictured upside down) from some scrap 4" tubing, that I plan to sink into a 8" x 20" hole with concrete on the corner of our street. I plan to mount the little house on top of the stand when the concrete sets.
This is going to be a neighborhood 'take a book / leave a book' library for our dead-end lane where we live, ala:

Mine was designed and built on the fly, no plans involved. Makes for a longer project...the reason the plexiglass door panels look cloudy is they still have the plastic protective sheets on one side, to help keep them from getting scratched up during 'construction'.
