Wow! I’m most likely going to do that very job soon. There’s been some serious abuse to my wife’s 98 TJ and I’ve Only scratched the surface. Yours is going to look really nice once you get it all put back together.

Pulled off a bad starter and replaced with a new one as well as a faulty relay. Next up is the stereo and then on to start troubleshooting the heater/ac switches. Not working. At least it’s nice out right now.
I drove mine...I'm not much for driving mine in the winter...Deer season is about as late as I want to go. However, I have just replaced my cooling system, and have been fighting it a little bit. First was a hole in the steel heater tube, so I replaced that. THEN it snowed, so no jeep (I don't drive it in the winter to preserve what solid steel I have left). Well, last week, we didn't get any more snow and it warmed up and rained this weekend. The rain should have washed most of the salt off the road, so I took the jeep out. First trip it was running about 240 on my monitor (torque app). Got it back home, let it cool, and topped off the radiator. Let it warm up again, without the rad cap on...watched the app and the coolant started flowing through the rad right around 197 (so I know the thermostat is opening). Squeezed the upper hose a few times, topped up the radiator, and put the cap back on. Went for a drive and the temp stayed between 202 and 194...PERFECT, Finally.
Going to drive it to my hockey game tonight, then probably put it away for the winter.

The infamous door panel crack by the door handle/lock reared it's ugly head, on the passenger side this time, today. Took off the door panel, and slathered epoxy + fiberglass fabric on the inside to prevent the crack from spreading...
Glad to here you got the chance to drive it a bit before the main freeze happens soon.
By chance, being from GR, do you play hockey with a guy named Matt Schenk?
Was a productive weekend: put on my OME 2" HD lift, turned out to not need the t-case drop kit either which is always good. It drives awesome, feels good to have a lifted Jeep again.
Also did a few minor things: put the last bit of the new fender flares on. Got it clean inside and out (not the engine bay yet) and cleaned and protected the battery terminals (it was way too neglected). Most importantly (aside from the lift) I was finally able to replace the lock cylinder on the steering wheel column. I had an issue since I got it that the keys could just come out, they were not retained and sometimes come out during driving. Engine and all would stay on of course but I just didn't like it (even though it could be convenient sometimes). Got a new lock cylinder on Amazon, took out the old one, found the key code and "programmed" the new one to the key and installed it back in. Feel pretty proud about that cause I've never done any lock work of any kind.
Didn't get to the spark plugs this weekend or cleaning the engine bay. Still have that and a lot of other things I need to do (that are cheap to do!)

Replaced a noisy wheel bearing, O2 Sensor and removed the TPS... opened the Rockauto package, only to find a used TPS inside GRRRR
Doesn't ring any bells. Does he play old man beer league hockey? That's what I play...Slow, old man, no checking, mostly get together to drink beer, Hockey.

Lol no. I think he enjoys checking to much to let it go. Although, sit around and drink beer hockey sounds like a winner in my book.
New head unit with gps and with google maps satellite imagery. Big improvement
Got it from bestbuy it is a KENWOOD dnx575s got it on sale for 499 which included install, with the wiring harness and new facia it came out to just over 600 bucks. It has apple CarPlay or android auto and Garmin GPS built in (many touchscreen units don’t actually have a GPS receiver) I also got a USB adapter to put in below so there was a neat way to plug in the phone and it has fast charging capability!
And they did the parking brake bypass which they aren’t suppose to do but allows you to watch videos if you were so inclined
You can't beat that! Going to have to check out our Best Buy in Santa Rosa now.
