Anyone ever run into this issue when installing their RockJock Antirock?

I'm installing the new RockJock (the redesigned Currie Antirock) and ran into this issue:

The threaded end of the helm joint is too big for the stock sway bar mounting point on the axle housing.

I've installed TWO Currie Antirocks before on previous TJs and never had this issue.

So either RockJock (Currie) changed the design on this new Antirock, or something is up with my TJ.

Anyone know what size drill bit I need to go buy now?

Take its nylock nut to the hardware store and once you find a bolt that fits it you'll know the size of the required drill bit.

It would appear they made the threaded end of the heim joint larger.

Ahhh, good point. Can't believe I didn't think of that!

1/2-20 is the stud, so a 1/2" drill bit. Check that by the nut hex size which should be 3/4" Inner flat is 5/8".

As luck would have it, I have a 1/2" drill bit.

I've never known Blaine to not know the size of the various fasteners used in our Jeeps off the top of his head. Even his wife Kat told me the size of a wrench I needed one day as she walked by me as I was working on something. One of my control arm bolts worked its way out while at Johnson Valley with friends a few months back and once I got to town, I called Blaine and without a moment's hesitation gave me both the SAE and metric equivalent size of the required bolt off the top of his head. Some people got it and some people (me) don't.

Without missing a beat or looking anything up they'll just rattle off the pin diameter, grip length, mating surface composition, torque process & value, max-blueprint hole size, part number & vendor. It's impressive.

For sure. I remember wrench sizes pretty well because I just remember numbers in general.

I think it also helps that I'm so bad at knowing the size by looking at it. By the time I've found the right one it's hammered into my head and will be there forever, then gets even more cemented in when I need it again 10 minutes later and spend half an hour turning my garage upside down to find it. .

Generally a 1/2" bolt uses a 1/2" nut but what the hell do I know?
