Moab Day 1

Ran Fins & Things/Hells Revenge today. Decided not to do Hell’s Gate this trip. But a simply incredible day. Most of the time things don’t live up to the hype, sometimes they do. Occasionally no amount of hype can do it justice, this is one of those cases.

Had a great time with @Alex01 @JMT @DrDmoney @Daryl and everyone else we ran with today.

Those who read my thread regularly might get sick of seeing this but have to throw another thank you out to @mrblaine for helping me build this Jeep, it is simply a joy to drive on the road and the trail. Towed my trailer 75mph all the way here and handled all today’s challenges without missing a beat.

I have to give a friend a ride to nearly salt lake tomorrow so won’t be doing trails tomorrow but I’ll be back with the group Wednesday.

Moab Day 2

Main crew went to run Steel Bender that was on my friends rental JL “prohibited” list so we went for the iconic Poison Spider instead.

The trail is really great. Amazing views a huge variety of terrain.

Sand dunes, fast sections, slick rock, ledges, technical rock sections, great areas for my daughter to play, just great.

@Nickgsjeep joined us, it was great to hang out and am sure we will be doing a lot more trips together in the future.

Moved to Southern Utah near St. George. I will still be home roughly every 6 weeks to do some work and help out my parents.

Moab Day 4 (Day 3 consisted of giving a friend a ride to the airport)

We did Top Of the World, last part of the trail was a little challenging and fun. Great group of people and the view was incredible.

Here’s a photo of the whole group, good people make it so much more fun.

Daughter somehow slept all the way to the top.

Then woke up and was ready to go!

And the mandatory photo that must be taken.

View on the way down was as good as the way up!

Last couple days in Moab had an amazing time and met amazing people I cannot wait until the next trip. So impressed with this community how everyone helps each other etc. great group of people.

Did a small mountain drive with @Nickgsjeep that turned into a snow run so we had to turn back. But was still a great adventure.

And ran from dinosaurs. Good times!

We did part of it. Then hit a nasty steep hill covered in snow and practiced backing up for 1/4 mile until we could turn around.

Haven’t posted a photo of the Jeep and trailer together in a while. It tows great! Currently have the rack on the half way up setting for easy access to the bed.

We are on are way home from Moab, daughter made us stop at Denny’s for some pancakes.
