Dave Kishpaugh's (Jeep West) geometry correction brackets are now available

I have not read any negative comments from the folks that have the gc brackets on their rides. As you stated, long thread so maybe I missed it.
nah, you didn't miss anything. It has been mentioned that these folks who had a negative experience with GC brackets are out there, but none of them have spoken up. So, either these people are a figment of some people's imaginations, or they exist and won't share their experience. @Gollywomper is just wanting them to speak up so we can have a real world experience report.

more geometry correction and rotated lower perches going on.

The only ones there are were running the nth degree brackets with the upper arms in the top hole 3.5" above the axle.I was one of them.

It causes alot binding under articulation and has alot more antisquat.

And there you have it folks. Well, you have something. It may not be what you are hoping for, but it is something, Nth, top hole

This thread reminds me of my favorite model of evolution, punctuated equilibrium. Gould and Eldredge said evolution took place so quickly that the evidence for it is that there is no evidence. Stunning and shockingly vacant.

How bored do you have to be to put in the time and effort to install something that is "no worse than stock"?
People install Ranchos shocks all the time - what’s your point? Also that wasn’t my point. But thank you for finally revealing your self in regards to abstract information. I really thought you were a cool guy Tox. It’s sad to see this.

I believe one already did.

The others have been asked, but like I said, they unfortunately have not wanted to so far.

Wasn't my brackets. He did his own work and raised the mount point to high, which defeats the purpose other than moving the bind point lower which allows more droop before it binds.

I can tell you every single person that has them aside from on rigs that have been sold and correspondence after the install via email, text and calls stating the difference on and OFF ROAD is an amazing transformation. There are several off road shops across the country that have put in multiple orders after experiencing the difference. I've been building these or a variation of them close to 8 years, it's not new and there's over a couple hundred rigs rolling around with them that aren't on this forum. We also have the rigs running around equipt with nth degree brackets that have survived being broken.

The install is not much different than fixing a busted bracket. They take me about 3 hours, which takes a mid arm install off the table after experiencing the difference off road as well as on road for all but certain situations.

The same bracket set is also used to fix rubicon express, rokmen, bds, rc, rusty's and metal cloak handling and squat issues we encounter in our area. Reality is, they raise the axle end uppers to the minimum position we get from using a 4link triangulated truss... The addition of adjustable upper frame mounts in addition the geometrycorrection brackets make bds, rough country, rusty's, skyjacker and old fabtec long/mid arm kits fully adjustable to what you want it to do. We use the front upper frame bracket to delete radius arms and the short uppers bds and teraflex use and convert them to a 3link with the upper where it should be.

The problem with some systems is the lack of adjustability. Not everyone lives on sand paper rocks or runs fast on the desert to the point they need a system that has excessive roll. We can't cram what we think is best down the throats of those that clearly want and need the adjustability for different environments and conditions.

Have you looked at factory welds? My shit looks gold compared to what mopar put out and soccer moms just love 80 mph...and not many fail
please elaborate, i'm not catching the point. where did welds come into this?

I think he said roll center, but wouldn't state that the AS was an improvement.... As I said, they might just be a stepping stone to the rear mid arm for me anyways, but it's absurd to constantly see the attempted comparison of the 2 options.
Then Dave needs to stop trying to compare the two.

If it is who I am thinking of he was trying to fix an 8.8 with a Artec swap kit on it. Did a nice job of building his own brackets and did everything except move the axle side of the lower control arm up. As I recall the Artec lower arm mounts could not be redrilled and would have needed reworked. Unfortunately that most likely left him with an AS in the 150-160% range so almost little to no change from where he started.

Very true. The angle of the LCA is crucial to lowering AS.

OK. A few comments.

First, longer arm suspensions are not inherently bad, as seems to be the general consensus on this and other threads. What gets lost is that the issue is trying to buy and install a bolt on long arm kit, which always gives up geometry for ease of installation - sometimes very badly. My arms are longer than most, and a bit longer than a mid arm. But I also run a lot of suspension travel, which would not be a good combination with shorter arms. It is all custom, and about 85% antisquat. And decent clearance, as my lower arms are not in the stock location, but rather even with both axles. It is all how you build it, and its intention. Long arm suspensions do not inherently bounce, as was state above. Ask anyone who has followed me up a climb. Ever seen a short arm suspension on an ultra4 racer, or a rock bouncer? The needs there drive the geometry.

Second. JJ. Sometimes the toughest thing to do is be critical of a rig that we have put so much time and effort into. I’m sometimes guilty of that myself. We go way back on that other forum, but methinks that thou protests too much. Your rig bounced up that climb, and it was not caused by the bump in the rock face. That would cause one bounce. The follow up bounces were all about the suspension. Why not look at that and see how you could improve it? There are things that can be done. Post up your actual measurements on the link calculator and start a discussion. That would be a positive use of this thread.

Third, Dave’s bracket approach bounces on a hill climb. That is a direct coorolation to the high antisquat. But it is a definite improvement over a standard 4” lift, because it reduces antisquat. Is it as good as the mid arm? No, but you cant beat that improvement for $160 If that fits your budget.

Finally, there has been a lot of supposition and wild ass guessing on this thread. Have you wondered why Blaine has not engaged here?
I think this post by @NashvilleTJ got the most likes, so there’s something in it for everyone. Better than I could say it.

There is one particular individual who isn't happy unless they impose their will on others to the point of driving this thread to darn near 1000 posts.

Why they don't start another thread and quit crapping in this one, I'll never know. It's an often repeated pattern on this forum to crap on any thread that's contrary to their build/ beliefs.

We know by those who have it and as well as the numbers that it improves things. Those are facts. Not opinions but facts that it improves anti squat and roll center.
we can understand why one might choose the mid arm over these. But your constant neigh saying they won’t help is absolutely wrong.
