So the battery in my Jeep will no longer hold a charge and it’s time to get a new one. I’m kinda broke right now and am having a hard time stomaching a 300 dollar Odyssey 34-1500 Battery. Should I suck it up and get it or just go down to interstate. I get an employee discount at interstate because the company I work for purchases a ton of batteries from there. What are your guys opinions. I do have a 10 inch woofer and a winch in the Jeep so there is some value to have a better battery. It just kills me because I had to spend about 7000 dollars on my teeth in the past 3 months.

The Odyssey is a great battery, but since you get an employee discount on the Interstate; you buy what your budget can afford.
Personally I have always had good luck with Interstate batteries.
There is nothing wrong with an Interstate battery; that is why my Jeep presently has one.
IF your battery cables are in good condition, engine compartment electrical connections are clean and the alternator is functioning properly; the Interstate will work just fine.

I have a dental bridge from getting hit in the mouth with a hammer years ago. I was quoted $13,000 a few days ago to replace it, since it broke. I can get another hernia surgery where my wife works for $6,000. WTH?

Go with what you can afford. Your teeth, and health, is way more important than an expensive battery!

X2!

If I could get a deal on an Interstate AGM, I’d consider it worth trying.

i agree. and if you ever have a problem with it, unless your on the moon, there's a walmart within 10 miles of you and they have never given me any trouble swapping them out !

Fly down to Costa Rica for a dental clinic, I know there was someone on here that did that with great results. @Chris also looked into it for his wi....ummmm but spent the big bucks here instead.

Out of curiosity, has anyone run a Bosch AGM? The price, specs, and warranty looks good with it.

Blaine has praised the Bosch Platinum before.

And if I couldn't afford an Odyssey I'd probably opt for an Interstate AGM. For those buying just a plain battery at Walmart, at least go with an AGM model if you take your Jeep offroad. Conventional wet batteries aren't able to withstand the shock and vibration of offroad use nearly as well as an AGM battery can.

I have (3) interstates on my boat and 2 on my trailer. I just replaced the one on my trailer from 2017. I put an Oddessy in my Jeep just based on the feedback on this forum about being the best. If i got a discount I would run interstate all day.
