Savvy (nonexistent) customer service

i ordered 8 new control arms from savvy and had them at my door in TN 11 days later.

Ordered the transfer case shifter and I think I had pretty good turn around on that also.

@accidentproneroane, my apologies to you. I never should have dragged Blaine into this. He has nothing to do with Savvy whatsoever other than having designed their TJ products and being friends with them.

I only tagged him in this just to fuck with him. Threads like this occur every few months. Savvy builds arguably the best TJ parts on the market. Sadly their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Having said that, I'd still order from them again just because I know how well their stuff is designed. You won't find many things out there that are better. If you do, chances are Blaine designed it.

If you plan on owning a TJ for a long time, Blaine is the one person I wouldn't piss off. He is hands down the most knowledgeable and resourceful person I know when it comes to TJs. I think many will agree with me on that.

Thank you, done and done.

Also to let everyone know that @Chris is now the newly appointed warranty administrator for Shittybuilt.
He will now be handling all warranty claims and complaints.:LOL::LOL:
Rough Country too, you didn't know that? Absolutely we need to ping @Chris whenever there's an issue with either of those two brands. :ROFLMAO:

Don’t forget the dumpster fire that is Skyjacker. I just love when I see some bozo go out and spend 60k on a JLUR and then proceed to immediately put a Skyjacker lift on it. 😆

I saw a video of a recovery made by Matt's Off Road Recovery out of Utah of a newish $100k JL, it was a POS and I think it had a Skyjacker lift on it. Gotta say it was a factory part that broke, it was the sector shaft coming out of the steering box.

Check out the Youtube videos by Matt, they are bitchin' videos of recoveries, many of which were horrendously difficult. I am kinda hooked on them lol.

We saw a JT break similarly on a local moderate trail. +1 for recommending Matt's Offroad Recovery, they are really enjoyable and seem like phenomenal people!

I just read the OP’s profile. I moved to Bozeman as a well overage Freshman in engineering(MSU).

That was in August of 1988. Don’t be too hard on the boy and it’s nice to know he is doing so well business wise.

I wonder which hole she craps out of? Or does the turd get split coming out? What if you are constipated can you reach in one hole and manipulate the turd to exit?
Fitting custom title for that post

I hope Chris has designed an award for this, a flaming Miata perhaps?
Hell no. He needs a selfie wearing this hat and we'll call it the Flying Asshole award.

I don’t know, customer service can be difficult for some people. Maybe it’s easy for you, it’s not easy for me. I deal with people quite a bit, and I can’t deal with them in an offensive way. It can be very challenging, especially if you are the type of person who is into the work of producing a product that is exemplary. In that case, the best thing to do is have other people handle that, but if you’re very particular, it’s hard to even let others do it (And you don’t like training people).

That’s the odd thing I’ve ran across in the off-road industry. I worked at a small off-road fab shop a long time back and they helped me build my 1st Gen 4Runner.

I helped them promote their business, get them online and handle customer service on a short and shallow window.

Now, this was in my mid 20’s and I cared about doing a good job for them.

They couldn’t handle anything but the work. Good dudes, but not people/people.

In the end, we all had stable full time jobs and kids. So nobody wanted to take the leap to make it really happen.

Honestly, today, I can deal with folks. It’s part of my job of old.

I can be an asshole here but it’s by choice and hey, I like to be myself. 😂

A small company would always do good to hire a young, bright and people person to handle customers.

Especially if the owners are good at other things like…engineering. Or fabrication. Or whatever.

I’ve most of those of those guys don’t like people. 😂
