2006 tj

2006 6cyl. Randomly one day wouldn't start. Got 12v on battery but 9v (or less) on guage. Tried jumping with no luck. Checked and cleaned all battery, alt, and starter wires. All fuses tested good and all relays click and pass power. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Was quoted $543 to replace. Part looks to be around $125 - $150. Any have instructions on removing and reinstalling? My mechanic skills are maybe about a 4 out of 10.

Yesterday my Jeep caught fire under the hood ... I saw on the internet where this could be a common problem with Jeep Wranglers. My Wrangler is a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Sport RHD. It appears to me (my opinion) that something caught around the fuse/battery area under the hood.
