04-06 Flowmaster 2049170 Catalytic Converter Kit

Anyone install this in a non-04-06 and know what needs to be modified to get it in?
Not yet. I planned to last weekend, but my plans changed.

After looking at my 2000, the only difference I can see is that the 2000 third cat on mine has a flange and not the slip joing at the y-pipe. My original 2000 muffler also slip jointed to the third cat pipe, but when I installed the Banks Monster cat-back, I had to rig up a flange mount so I didn't have to cut the flange off the muffler.

I received and installed mine tonight. I can confirm that it bolts up no problem on a 03 TJ.

Buy the way, I didn't go back and reread all the above posts but someone mentioned stainless steel. This system is not stainless. A magnet sticks to it anyway. Still a great deal.

The Holley/Flowmaster website for this item says 50k/5yr "stainless steel exterior casing warranty". No indication about piping.
Also... magnetism is not a definitive test for stainless steel. Some is. Some isn't

Don't forget those old cats are worth money. Just brought mine in and got $110 to put in the Hemi swap fund.

In Florida you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to sell, cuts down on the black market. I had two people who wouldn't even give me an estimate until I had done the paperwork. I was trying to figure out if it was worth the time.

There are numbers on the cats. The guy spent about 10 minutes with a steel brush and took a picture. I'm sure if he did it anyone can find the same on the web. My big cat was worth $50 and the smaller two were $40 each but since I had a 3/4 inch hole thru one he only gave me $20. I'm bet I didn't get top dollar at this place I went to but it was close.

Thought about picking one of these up, but I wonder how well the cat would play with the Savvy UAM vs. the OEM. But it also looks like the cat may be longer towards the front and terminate in the same place in the rear.

It's 409S stainless steel, which is ferritic, so it's magnetic. It's cheaper, but more prone to corrosion than 304 stainless. Still a significant step up from aluminized steel, though.
