Kaleb is doing his torque boxes. I'm really proud of him, We just finished welding the passenger side up. He did most of the welding.

I keep trying to weld and I keep sucking at it. I should try more than once every 3 months. I did get a sheet of steel to fill out the rest of my larger workbench. I'm going to weld the two sheets together for practice, but I'm sure Mr Grinder will be my best friend as usual.

Grab some thicker stuff from somewhere. Welding thin is MUCH tougher than welding 3/16 or 1/4" thick steel. Get a feel for the puddle on the thicker stuff, than you'll be able to work on the thinner stuff and react before you blow giant holes or pile the filler up.

Kaleb's got ya beat already cause he's still a teenager so he's 10' tall & bulletproof... There was a time when I had no fear off-road and would try just about anything.

The new shoes will likely be Cooper STT Pro’s in 35x12.5r17 or 315/75/17. I’ll also look at Baja Boss’s, but if I find a 36” I’ll look at that. Right now my mind is occupied with the auto swap, but if I see a sale I’ll be selling my 35’s on 15’s and moving on to 17’s. I believe @kiwi was interested in them. I think you’ve given him some parts IIRC!
