Yep, the road to Rollercoaster closes Aug 24 and re-opens Jan 1. Sucks. Perfect time to wheel now.
His rig performed perfect. This was his shakedown run.
No, I’ve done that creek before. We were running out of time, so we stayed on the road.
Kaleb got his doors close to some rocks. Another few inches and it would have careened into the door. We removed them for some obstacles.
I watched Kaleb carefully today since he has the 42rle. It was so smooth and uneventful and controlled. It made me want one really bad.
When I got home I had a DM from @PNW_LJ. I put a good faith deposit down on a 42rle with 70k, torque converter, flex plate, and complete harness. I’ll be picking it up Nov 9 when I come over to wheel at Walker. I’m pumped! @Jamison C, thanks for all your help. I’m sure I’ll need more as I collect parts and research. @Mike_H auto’s are better. I can’t wait to make the swap!
I have a lot more stuff to source, and especially a PCM. I may have to talk to @Wranglerfix about a PCM for an 05 42rle that could tune the shift points to my setup since these are prone to failure sometimes.
