2" vs 3" lift debate

Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm getting ready to lift my TJR and wanting just a mild build. I will be running 265/75/16 (32's) Duratracs with no intention of stepping up to 33s and am debating between the 2" BDS or 3" BDS kits. With 32's, will the 3" be too much and just look silly?

Majority of the time, I will be running a full size spare, hard top with the rear seat in the back. The front has a JCR bumper and winch. I have spent hours of researching and keep going back and forth on which direction, and just way overthinking this, so some direction and guidance would be great. Thanks in advanced. Here is my jeep as it sits now on 31's.

2 inch lift is basically the minimum for 32s. As for looks that is subjective, I think 31s look good with a 2 inch lift. I am currently doing 265/75/16 on my jeep with 2 inches rear lift and 3.25 inch front. I think 3.5 inches front and 2 inches in the back is a good look.

I’ve got a 2” spring lift with 1/2” body lift for my 32” KM3’s

I did a 2.5" spring lift and will be installing 32" tires in the spring. It's tough enough for these old legs to swing in as it is, I just don't think I need to go any higher. Also, other than silver, the color of your jeep is my second favorite color.

Looks great! Anything else you had to do to accommodate the the body lift?

You will need to check clearance on your fan blade to shroud. But that is an easy fix. I can’t remember if mine made contact with just the 1/2 body lift.

I ran 32s on 2" coil spacers and a 1" body lift for many years. I think 3" of lift is great with 32s

And after flat fender install

You are in for a great ride with that set up if you are thorough-

The condition of the jeep looks fantastic

This Rubicon has a 2 inch OME lift, 1 inch of body lift, Motor mount lift, Mild tummy tuck, Clayton arms with girro joints, JKS rear track bar, ZJ steering, Johnny joints at the front axle with the tombstone kit, Savvy shifter- 4:88 gears

It is absolutely phenomenal to drive- I would compare it to a small 2 WD Toyota truck or Honda accord-
