Not into knives, but I did pick up a new every day pocket knife. Civici elementum
I say I'm not that into knives but I look in my nightstand drawer or on top of my dresser and, Jeez, I have a lot of knives. My EDC is a Leatherman Fuse in camo. I only bought it because it was on Clearance. It can be a pain in the ass to find when dropped in the grass. I seem to have a few Opinel No.6. One of those I've had for fifty years. I think I paid less than five bucks for it. The newest one cost around forty and I gave that one to my granddaughter because she loves to whittle. I have my grandfather's 1956 Imperial pocket knife with Abalone and a couple of Case and Buck knives. I would say that the bulk of what is in the night stand are cheapies I bought while working in the field after finding I had forgotten to pack my Leatherman.

The bugouts are not really "on sale" , that's usually about what they retail for.
I was afraid of that. Prices looked a little high for a sale.

Figuring out how to carry my Arkansas Toothpick while in overalls with no belt. I found hanging it from a belt with a dangler works OK and I can sit in the jeep with it, but can't without the dangler. Just been using a piece of rope for a dangler to get a feel for it. Will get something better eventually.
This seems to work for overalls:
Ebay special made from D2. Left in the jeep and got wet. Maybe some day I'll drop a thousand bucks on a Randall one. Had my eye on a model 13 for years. https://randallknives.com/products/arkansas-toothpick
Carrying a 12" blade is a bit of a hassle, and it seems like a monster until you think about needing to use it on the wildlife we have out here. I ran a bear off with a tennis racket before, but he was in my territory then. When I'm poking around in their territory there's a chance of finding one that isn't so eager to leave. This tool would seem small facing a bear or mountain lion. A gun is my 1st choice, obviously, but I like have a blade for backup, and want something easy to leave in the jeep just in case.

The history is neat. They were popular before the Bowie knife came about and took over. For a while the names were used interchangeably. To me a bowie is a clip point, heavier blade better for slashing, and a toothpick is thinner and optimized for stabbing.
Better order now. It says delivery time is 7 yrs.

I carry the ESEE Xancudo in a Jou Fuu pocket sheath anytime in I'm not at work. The S35VN is tough and holds an edge well.
I will occasionally carry a Victorinox Swiss Army "Climber" if it's an occasion where a visible knife is less appropriate.
I have a Benchmade Bugout I really like also. It's my favorite "tactical" style folder by a wide margin.
I keep a ESEE PR4 fixed blade in my pack as well. It's had liners added to the scales to fatten it up a little and is a great camp knife.
