BFG KM2 True Sizing

A few months ago, I saw a TJ Wrangler parked with about a 4" lift and 33's. It looked the same as mine with a 4" lift and 33's. I walked up to it, and the tires were BFG KM2's in "35x12.5x15". Lol!

I would have bet money they were 33's...and would have lost. Well, I guess they are 33's, but labeled as 35's.

So a BFG ko A/T 33x12.5x15 is about 32? But as far as widths are these smaller then the 12.5 advertised ? Can anyone measure theirs

Why do these threads keep popping up and who cares if their 35 measures 34.5" and 33 measures 32.5"? If it bothers anyone, buy a size larger so you can complain about stuff breaking because your tires were too big.

It’s called a forum where people ask and answer questions. That’s why. If it bothers you so much don’t read it and don’t answer.

most of them publish an actual width. BFG's claim pretty much dead on at 12.5, while others like the 35x12.5R15 Cooper STT Pro are supposedly 13.1". When I was researching tires about a year ago, the narrowest 12.5" I found was 12.2", so not really enough to notice. I probably notice the 13.1" on the Cooper though, 'cause i have no problem reaching the lower control arms with 4" of backspacing.
