Clear ECM reset adaptive memory tables

I read this about clearing the ecm and relearning the system without the factory DRB II scanner

Is this necessary, or good idea/ bad idea to follow this procedure after changing out my OPDA?

You have my Jeeps twin, I just did the procedure a few days back but haven't driven it yet and the amount of time it spends on the road could take a year or so.

Did you do the memory learn I posted?

That color Rubi in the 06 is my favorite and first choice
