Yes,you really need to go up to 1/2 hole,watched a vid where a guy had to go 1/2 before the frame would drain,but I drilled them through the top hole of the control arm brackets where it was more supported.
Bought this last Spring for my 5th Wheel water heater. Gonna give it a try on the internal frame. Shoots a pretty stout stream and since I'm only trying to remove small dirt particles it might work well. It does fit in many of the frame holes. There are lots of different similar available.
