JL Wheels on a TJ

I'm really debating about moving the ole TJ to some of the all-black JL Rubicon wheels. Curious if anyone has done this yet and would love to see a picture if ya got 'em. Even if you put on basic JL wheels let's see it.

I'm already running wheel adapters since I'm running wheels that are a 5x5 bolt pattern.

Here is some used take offs I found for cheap. $300 for 5 wheels and all had good life on tires 80%. Sold my old set for $375
I'm very thrifty and this save me a lot money on buying a new set of tires at $1000.

These look great. I'm really contemplating it myself as I'm thrifty like you. I'd love to find some take-offs. Plus I like the stock tire size coming off the JL Runicons at 33" and they're currently not as wide as the 12.5 tires I'm running. Thinking of trying to cut a little wheel weight. Thanks for sharing.

There was a set of JL 5 rubicon wheel/tire takeoffs that were advertised as brand new for $1000 on craigslist recently. They were for sale a surprisingly long time, I thought it was a pretty good deal.

Question for the group - what is the recommendation on running wheel adaptors?

Nothing wrong with running good quality adapters like Spidertrax. Just make sure to torque them to spec, and use Loctite.

Spidertrax are no better than the ones from Titanwheelacc for $80 (4). Same materials, just way more expensive. I've run them on a few of my Jeeps with 35" tires.
p.s. A dab of silicone seal on the outer threads works better than Loctite IMO and can't come loose until you want it to.
