I have a 2000 Tj with a 4.0L 5spd, np231 & a dana 35 rear end. Any recommendations on SYE kit and driveshafts and instal tips would be appreciated. I'm trying to wrap up the lift instal.

Thanks

Ditto on the Tom Woods recommendation. I picked up my Advanced Adapters SYE Kit through them along with the new driveshaft. 5yrs and 20k miles later, haven’t had an issue.

I vote for a JB Conversions super short sye. It will give you a much longer driveshaft and is 2" shorter than a regular sye.

Any thoughts on the Teraflex Mega Short SYE? I’ve been looking at it in addition to JB SS SYE.

Yep, and every inch counts when it comes to drive shafts!

Another vote for JB Conversions SYE. I've installed both their standard and super short versions. Match that up with Tom Woods shafts and you get quality products with great support. Just be aware that if you go super short (SSYE), the stock speedometer gear is eliminated. To calibrate the speedometer with a SSYE, you'll need something like a speedohealer. I've also installed a couple of these and they're simple to install and easy to adjust.

In terms of the SYE install, they can be done with the case in the Jeep, but it's much easier to do it on a bench. There are lots of videos on how to install one.
