Midnight LJR Build

What is your opinion on running those half door uppers (with glass sliders) and the hardtop?

I wrote up a little review like 2 pages back. long story short I feel they have the same amount of wind noise as the plastic window uppers. But they are noticeably quieter, and I don’t have to raise my voice as much with passengers in the car.

Try a new cap first. Or, do it like everyone else does. Hey, my valve stem is leaking, time for a new set of tires.

absolutely, change the cap first, its way cheaper and your new radiator will need a new cap anyway ;) ... I refused to swap radiators until I saw the crack in mine and could verify that was indeed the issue

Ordered all the parts for a Dinoot Extended Jeep Trailer. I am stuck at home so might as well build something.

@lowranger @bobthetj03 I blame you both for sharing pictures.

The only thing the gives me a little solace is knowing I can get @Alex01 to build one after he sees mine.

I have the glass slider uppers with a soft top (I like them), and I'm going to pick up a hard top this weekend. Now I need a set of full doors.

Man, you and Alex are bringing the heat with the Jeep mods.

Glad we could help. You won't be sorry.:-)

I'm going to guess the jeep is also getting a new savvy bumper with a hitch and the trailer is getting the one that is on the jeep. Looking forward to the project. Let me know if you want any help.

haha, Savvy bumper is not rated for towing I will just bolt on and off a regular hitch when needed. I do need to modify the hitch though to get around the Savvy reinforcement brackets. :-)

But, can your OCD handle the trailer not having a savvy bumper?
Are you going to make the trailer frame or modify the HF as the site suggests?

I really wish the Savvy receiver bumper was rated.

🤔 Will see...

I am going to build it out of tubing. They give you plans to build it out of square tube.

Who's gonna test this theory? Is it true or just for liability and safety reasons?
I stole this from another thread...

MrBlaine..
"I prefer the receiver. The issue is no matter how many times we state, restate, reiterate, and warn folks, the bumper is not rated for towing. It doesn't matter how many different ways you ask the question, it isn't and never will be.

The reason there aren't shackle tabs on the receiver bumper is folks wanted them so they could attach their safety chains for when they used the bumper for towing.

My preference would have been to put the shackle tabs on the receiver bumper and just build one version. Unfortunately human nature intervened and made it difficult.

The reason I like the receiver is I tow stuff around here at the house to move things where they need to go and the Jeep is a lot more maneuverable than my long bed crew cab dually."

You can build the entire trailer?

Hmmm...

Dinoot trailers they send you a fiberglass Jeep tub like this. And then you weld up a frame similar to this one. The tub just bolts together.
