O2 Sensor connector

I’m waiting on my new o2 NTK sensor to be delivered so I decided to jump ahead and pull the old one out. It’s bank 2 sensor 2.
When I tried to unplug it I found out it was fighting me. Big time!
I’m no stranger to replacing o2 sensors. This plug was not going to let go. I finally had to start clipping off the sensor side plastic until it came loose. I didn’t damage the harness pigtail but I was wondering if any one has ever replaced a pigtail?
I may have the same problem when I get to the others.
I googled it and got it’s ok to solder and don’t ever solder. Huh?
Any experience out there?

If you know how to solder well enough it's OK to solder if necessary.

Soldering is no problem but I also read that crimp connectors are probably ok too.
Which would yo do?

I replaced a difficult connector for my hood lamp as part of a greater project.

As long as you do the research and get the right connection end and tools, I found it a fairly easy task.

Spray the connectors down with WD-40 and they will come apart much easier.

Crimping is preferred over soldering if you have the right crimping tool.
