..., but at that point my shocks will be the limiter.
That's the point at which you start moving shock mounts!

I have been thinking about your Jeep, and I was wondering why are you fighting the 4" lift? You already have the adjustable control arms. You are already geared, and you already have the 33's, and adjustable track bars. Why not just put some 4 in springs in there? I know you were fighting the body lift, and you succumbed to that, why not just put the 4" Currie springs in? You can take the body lift back out, and you will have new springs and more travel?
Is that really the reason? Not to question you, but I am slipping at the edge of the rabbit hole looking for reasons not to do it myself and I am not even close to where you are yet.My jeep needs to be user friendly for my 5'4" wife to drive. She has a hard enough time climbing in and out of it, if I raise it much more, papers may be filed. I prefer not to sleep in my jeep unless absolutely necessary, lol!

I still need to gear and buy track bars if I decide to go that route,
but honestly for you if you were to remove your springs and your spacers and your body lift, then put 4 in, it will only gain you 1.5 of which .5 of that you would get back by removing the body lift. So it would only be an inch taller, and probably more up and down travel, and maybe get rid of some of your ride issues?
Haha that is scary because I was half waiting for you. It really might be a while for me because my 31's are pretty new and holding up well so far. If they do fail or wear out, I believe I can fit 33's in there next round, but it will be a lot tighter. That is when I think I will fall down the rabbit hole. Unless something between now and then changes my mind, like regearing and buying track bars etc.To be honest, I haven't given the 4" lift much thought over the years of jeep ownership. Starting off with 31's, a 2.5" lift seemed like the thing to do, and just kind of took off from there. My jeep actually rides pretty good, but there is always room for improvement. Maybe I'll just wait until you pull the trigger and move over to the dark side.
At least you're "pacing yourself". I on the other hand can't control myself!
I blame it on @Starrs though.
Yea, you've gone beyond that, kind ofI remember when I bought the Jeep I told myself I was going to leave it stock. Then I wasn't going to go beyond 3" of lift. I failed at every step.
I can take solice in the fact that you are truly out of control brah! Lol! When is the stretch and coil overs coming? Hehe!
Have you considered doing a “stirrup” to aid your wife getting in? Doesn’t mess with your clearance at all. Looks easy enough. Then 4” lift won’t be bad. I was planning to make one for my wife when I got the new rock sliders, but my wife says that she can just run and jump into the Jeep. Seems to be working, for now!My jeep needs to be user friendly for my 5'4" wife to drive. She has a hard enough time climbing in and out of it, if I raise it much more, papers may be filed.
