Picking up where I left off

Here's mine but Blaine uses the TJ front arm with a 1" bend. And actually connects the rear which I still have left to do.

Looks great! Can’t wait to get the outboard done. It’s the shocks that will hold me up at this point 🤦🏻
There's always something. Maybe someone on here has some laying around that you can get revalved.

I still need (want) to cut off the first two mounting holes on mine so it looks a bit cleanee. If I would have bought the TJ front arms I wouldn't need to.

I see why you mean about the mounting holes.

I am going to keep calling around in the morning just to see if anyone out there has two of the 11” travel shocks in stock. Maybe I’ll get lucky.

Have you talked to Paul @ FullStack?

He doesn’t have them in stock either unfortunately. I think that this is one of those speciality items that most places aren’t going to keep in stock.

Wonder if there’s a Chinese parts issue slowing things down.

Well the truck drivers are definitely covering some ground.... my dumbass left the fucking EZ-Pass in the windshield so I’ve got about $50 in tolls already racked up 🤣😂 I may have you toss it in an envelope and send it back this way once the Jeep arrives.

FREE DELIVERY TRACKING!?? This changes the odds on ALL the o/u bets. :ROFLMAO:

I would almost bet on it.

Hahaha! I’d be happy to do that. I guess we know they are making progress 🤣

@Chris for some reason, my emailed preview shows your response to me but I can’t see it now when I pull it up.

Regardless, it wasn’t me who started the betting talks. I was just bummed I missed it originally. Figured it was too late to get in.:p

He did tell me Fox is notoriously slow. Not sure what that is the case when they are such a big name. You’d think they’d be a lot better and getting things done in a timely manner.

Guessing you haven't seen all the OEM applications they are building and supplying for that get installed before they hit the dealerships?

That and about 3 years ago they switched to a new inventory system. They depleted as much inventory as they could to simplify how much has to be entered into the new system. The problem was the couple of weeks to bring the new system online went from a couple of weeks to several months and they didn't ramp up any production until it was done. They haven't recovered from that yet.

We went for about 8 months without any Fox shocks to do an outboard job.

Wow, that’s shocking (no pun intended). So I assume that this lack of inventory also pertains to replacement parts? Let’s say you need to rebuild a set of Fox shocks, can it be just as challenging to get a set of parts?

I knew about some of the OEM applications like the Ford Raptor and others. I guess I am just surprised that even after 3 years they haven’t recovered their inventory. Seems like this would leave a lot of people looking for other options.
