I think it’s misstated when the term “unlocked” is used with the SL, it’s never unlocked, unleashed is a better description.

That is the first Gen.
Like having the factory bar on street, flip a switch, unlocked.Maybe I missed something here , but not too long ago, y’all were anti rock fans ! Now y’all are talking swayloc.
can ya tell me why?
You should see his shop.Well since you are the one who designed it I'm sure you have a lot of stuff that the rest of us don't.
That makes no sense whatsoever. Coming up with the concept has nothing to do with other things I may or may not have.Well since you are the one who designed it I'm sure you have a lot of stuff that the rest of us don't.
I had a build thread, no one gave a shit enough to discuss what I was doing so fuck it.or things he's created he's NOT sharing w the rest of us...
FIFYLike having better than a factory bar on street, flip a switch, like having an AR off road.

I was able to see that one on @taylormade73 ’s rig, it was interesting to inspect the differences - though it seemed to be pretty much functionally identical. Were there any substantial changes between the two in the torsion rate or other hard to see things? The main things I saw were the splined torsion bars and the heims having the bolts integrated in the joint like the AR, and color. That is the first Gen.

The thread managed to accumulate 2 pages of discussion in 2 years. Chris put up a post about dusty seats that went 4 pages in less than 48 hours. That told me exactly what interests folks and what doesn't and that is nothing against Chris whatsoever. He had exactly zero to do with it other than starting a thread. It isn't a slam of the folks on here either. It is just an observation of what interests folks and what doesn't.Some of us did. I was really interested to see else you did and how and why.
The smaller bar sheared off the splines at the end of the threaded hole. Splines are a giant pain in the ass since they are expensive, they need to be timed at the bars and each arm. Due to the combined nature of the one on the left side, that means timing is critical and very hard to do.I was able to see that one on @taylormade73 ’s rig, it was interesting to inspect the differences - though it seemed to be pretty much functionally identical. Does the inner bar contribute much when the outer is engaged or is it neglible? The smaller bar sheared off the splines at the end of the threaded hole. The outer bar was increased in diameter which for a reasonable change in wall thickness still delivers a higher rate. That was done to get an inner bar with larger than bar size or upset ends to be able to "spline" without danger of shearing off the splines and still deliver a tolerable rate for offroad.
