To all,
As a part of my rust repairs, I am going to remove and replace the rear upper coil spring mounts. I may buy replacements, or make them, not sure which yet. My question is: Would it be better to weld the new ones in where the spring is more straight up and down, or do you need it to lean forward at the top? I currently have a 3 inch lift, and the top of the spring would not fit flush against the mount, only the leading edge of the spring due to the mount being at an angle but the spring wanting to be straight. So, if I angle the new mounts to where they are parallel to the lower mount is that a good thing or not. Thank you for any insight on this.
