Ring and Pinion Gear Pattern Help

I've been searching for some good pics of the expected pattern with a 2 cut / face hobbed gear set, and found one on Yukon's site. It didn't load correctly when I tried to post it directly, but here is the link:

It shows the correct pattern as a swoosh diagonally across both sides of the tooth, and it sure looks like the pattern just runs right off the tooth - in both directions. So apparently I'm worried about something that I shouldn't be. And it's close to my pattern in post #56. Credit to @Alex0413 and @hosejockey61 for identifying that as a good pattern.
Here's another - 51 thou on the pinion shims, but 5 thou on the backlash. Post 56 was 51 thou and 7 backlash. This one looks a lot like the Yukon diagram.
Since the pattern is closer to the toe on the convex side, I may go back tomorrow and pull another few thou off of this measurement and see what happens.

Ok, so yeah then maybe another three will do the trick. You are very close now though. You put a hell of a lot of work into this, so might as well get it perfect!
Edit: The picture you have directly above this post looks good to go. I wouldn't pull shims from that. I just looked at the yukon link you posted and you appear to be perfect. I've apparently never set up two cut gears because that's the first I've seen that pattern as they describe. So as you are on here for help, others are learning along with you. Thanks for the ride!

You are really getting it Jeff. I know a ton of guys who would have either called it good with a pattern 2-3 days ago or thrown in the towel and just admitted defeat.
He is getting after it, but after looking at that document from Yukon, I think his first pattern would run fine. Ive never set up "2 cut" gears before.
Thanks brother. And I know you know the irony here - I'm doing all this to cover a couple of months lead time on a new axle.
I might be wrong but I like the tighter BL and think this looks good but as I said it's been a while for me and these gears are a new style I've never done before.

This is the pulling hair part. You are there and any more changes may just be splitting those hairs you are pulling.
I did - still thinking about what to do. Although this little exercise has taken away from my axle thinkin' time more than I expected.

Pinion shim - 49 thou (2 thou less than the 51 in post 62). 6.5 thou backlash.
I think this is it - ironically, 49 thou was my very first setup, and matched the measurement from the old setup. Go figure.

I think you are a glutton for punishment. You got (and gave) a lot of valuable experience with this project. Big kudos to @Blackjack for identifying the two cut.
I would have had no problem running the last pattern. But I like your effort to get it perfect. Big two thumbs up. Now if I see another post how you dabbled in it again you're on your own lol.
The range that I've found for these gears in a 2 cut is 6-8. Suggesting going lower that 6?

Not lower than 5 and definetly check that in four places for variance. But I do not think you are going to get better than that there.
