My main concern frankly, is my wife. As long as it doesn't turn into a trip hazard it should be fine - my wife is what they call "accident prone". If there's something to trip over, she'll trip over it - if there's something sharp on the floor, she'll find it the hard way. She once fell into a trash can at work, she cut the very tip of the tip of her index finger off while pruning plants - and many other "stories", Goddess Bless her! The sample from Flooring Inc is on its way, we'll examine it closely.
EDIT: Just tonite, she had a Pyrex square baking dish slip out of her hands and shatter in the sink! Thing really grenaded when it broke. She had the highest lab bill of anyone in her organic chem class in nursing school for all the Pyrex she managed to break. And THEN - many years later, we were having a "Greek Fest" at our home for all the Greek Folk Dancers - which just happened to be led by her old organic chem teacher. A Pyrex dish of spanikopita came out of the oven and was set on the tile counter. The temperature differential caused the bottom to explode out of the dish - completely ruining the spanikopita. Wife was MAJORLY embarrassed as it was in front of said chem teacher! "True to form!"
