Realize this is an old thread, but it may help future searchers. After 6 months with my H&R springs I will say that I absolutely love them in conjunction with my Rancho shocks. It rides better than the three TJs I had when new.
Nice, thanks @Capt'n . Also, it looks like you did some serious rust prevention while you were in there. What did you use for the paint? I've been using Duplicolor's "Rust Barrier" so far.
I generally just put on a basic grey rustoleum auto primer. On the brake drums and control arms I painted on some Rust Bullet before priming because the metal had more surface rust. Then sprayed several coats of Rustoleum High Performance enamel spray on. I chose that paint simply because it whats on the shelf at our small town hardware store. It’s held up just fine.
Thank You. It’s been a slow process cleaning and painting and replacing things. She currently has 78,000 on her. My goal for her is to fix her up basically in original stock form with the exception of the small 1” lift and a basic stereo system I put in and then at some point in the future to pass her on to my son...
