Time for a v8 swap

Now that the case is finally up after having to reclock the studs. Onwards to the y-pipe we go.

I started assembling the shifter last night and it seems to be just might luck that im missing atleast 1 of the round headed Allen bolts for the pivot bar bracket, at this point im just going to roll with it and source some from the depot. I think I might look into an xj shifter setup as I think that might have an extra gear that would work with the 6L80e.

Aren't they the same as a 03 or newer TJ shifter?

You should have 6 detents? The 6L80e is a 6 speed? Or is it more like the 8HP trans where it's all electronic?

That is nice , I had already bought the adapter from novak to make a factory shifter work. Im going to check out this setup.

That's cool that they make an adapter for the stock shifter to control the 6L80.
Kilduff makes some nice shifters.
I just got mine for the 8HP70 transmission. It does take about 2 months to receive it once you order it.

I've got the Park lockout for going from Drive to Reverse quickly.
It's a quality part for sure.

I found some 6mm bolts that appeared to have worked but the head of the bolt hits the body. Im debating on just dremeling the area the head of the bolts rest and calling it a day. The shift cables and brackets for them on the transfer case side seem interesting as they are directly under the shifter assembly.
