I like the idea of the cowl induction, however I do NOT like the "filter" they use. Completely inadequate.

The version I recall put the filter inside the cowl where you are less likely to open things up and replace it.

I'm considering a Thor intake. Not for any kind of performance boost but because I'd like to use the space where the stock airbox is located for something else. I'm not too impressed with the K&M style filter, though. Not too fancy to the idea that if water somehow gets past the filter it's a straight shoot to the intake unlike the OEM airbox. Not that I see myself getting a good amount of water in the cowl.

Anyone have any issues?

Is this the one that buries the filter inside the cowl where it will be too irritating to open things up to change or the one that uses a reusable oiled filter?
