Unknown screw holes

Crawling under my 1997 2.5L TJ, I found near the front fender 2 empty holes with screw threads, both on passenger and driver side.
Anybody knows what's their purpose and what are the proper screws? - in case I lost all 4...

can you take a picture from outside the vehicle and sort of position with your hand where these would be if you look straight in.

I think that is right at the first body mount right behind the front tire.

My Jeep had some step rails mounted there when I first bought it.

That's the bottom of your fender support bracket, where it attaches to the firewall. I think the holes are to mount some mud flaps. Mine were missing also. I "filled" them with some bolts I had laying around the garage. I forget the size, but they are the same size as the other bolt used on the fender supports. I'm almost certain they were metric on my 2005.

Those holes are for the lower part of the fender brace. At some point if you play on rough roads at speed, that fire wall will crack due to the weight of the battery bouncing it around a bit. They are definitely more structural that what it takes to hold on a mudflap.

Classic example of "I have no clue where these 2 extra bolts go" when you're done working on the Jeep.
