What do I need for a tummy tuck?

So, as a start would the Tom woods Rear Drive Shaft, Double Cardan and Rugged Ridge NP231 Transfer Case Slip Yoke Eliminator work well? I feel like I can do these two upgrades first then work on some of the other stuff for the TT.

Driveshaft is a great choice. Instead of the rugged Ridge sye though I would suggest the JB conversion super short sye

Tom Woods wants a measurement for the install though, right? I waited to order mine until I could measure the end result and drove in FWD since their lead time was only 3 days to my door.

Yes--good call. Install the sye first then measure and order your driveshaft

U want to talk about a heavy skid plate. I made mine my self out of 1/4 inch steel. I had to take it in and out about 15 times when fabricating it and the transmission mount. After about the second time lifting it I decided to get the forklift

You will also need adjustable upper control arms in the rear before installing the SYE.

If a person skipped a full TT initially (just did SYE, DC driveshaft, UCAs) and decided on a TT (skid, MML and BL) later on, would they need a new driveshaft?

Likely but not 100%, if you do that Tom Woods (and maybe others) will modify the drive shaft for a reduced cost ($50 I think for TW).

There’s definitely a chance that u will need to purchase a entire new shaft. This being said it’s different depending on what parts you go with. I got my sye and driveshaft used from someone who did a atlas swap. He had 2 drive shafts because he needed the one to do the sye the first time, then had to purchase a longer shaft after he did his tuck. With that being said his drive shaft post tuck was 19 inches. When I did my tuck and sye, when I measured I ended up needing a 18 inch shaft. The one he had was not going to work for me. I am currently running his original shaft. It has about 3.5 inches of over lap so it seems to be working just fine for now . It’s all going to depend on what skid u end up using and what the lift height is.
