H8MUD

Thanks so much!
I was hell bent on taking MY rig out there.....and that's a once-in-a-lifetime event....but NEXT time  I'll fly out to Salt Lake, rent a econobox to Moab, then rent a rubi for the day and take my lovely Bride out on Hells Revenge. THAT, is totally doable for ANYONE with any level of experience. Those rental rubi's are more capable than most people and will EASILY handle Hells revenge!

You are correct. I have rented Rubicon’s twice in Moab and you can have a blast!

Damn dude, your TJ is looking good! What kind of tie rod is that?

Also, I'm not a huge fan of aftermarket fenders, but those Metalcloak fenders look bitchin' on your TJ!

Only problem is that if I were to do those, it might look weird with my 5" lift and 35s, then I might need 37s haha!

That is just such a capable TJ. I've always thought so. Looking so good with the cloaks. What tire size are you running? I thought you were running 35's, but those look near 37's. Very nice work. Nice blinker re-location too.

Thanks Chris!

I bent my 2nd Curry correctlync so I did a little research and found that Savvy made an aluminum one that bolts right in. No more bent tie rod! This thing snaps back wash after wash

Thanks...I was nervous cutting the grille, but it came out GREAT

I'm now running 36 TSL's

A buddy of mine had 35's and I SWEAR my 33's were bigger than those tiny things, so I went 36....and they're 36.6 so larger than MANY 37's

I've always LOVED a TSL. It's compound and tread are really what excels here in the east. While I H8MUD, you can't avoid it o_O so I wanted something that wouldn't get clumped up. Plus these TSL's can be run on damn near no air and still look aired up, and they're THICK as hell, and wrap around rocks like a stripper on a pole made of money!

Initially I really didn't like the look of the metalcloaks. But I wanted a much lower CoG (I went back down to 2" springs, so 3-1/4" of lift including body now) and JCR/Genright made you cut your hood. I'm not scared of cutting, but I can't live with JUST a cut. So I would need to cut, and bend, and "do it right"

After the math, and the figured time spent doing it right....the metalcloak started to look VERY appealing. And when I saw my Alabama Buddy Chris' in person with Metalcloak errything, I decided it was a better option.

Bad part is...I had to cut my beloved white knuckle offroad sliders to accommodate both the tires AND the fenders

Ahhh, I thought that's what it was! I was thinking about picking one of those up myself.

How much lift are you running?

Man, that is bad ass. I could totally do that. I'm at 3" SL and 1.25" BL and my Dana 44 is going in very soon. Overline Fenders are looking better everyday. They should work well with my JCR sliders. You're like entering into another zone with the 36's. It starts to take on this rock crawler status, but not overdone. I think its the TSL's that make it just look so right. I'm seriously impressed and encouraged. Those pics of you coming over that rock are impressive. I know what that kind of maneuver demands and you can't skimp to accomplish it. Looks like you solved your slider problem.
