I have to say that red rubi is really nice, I bought a 2012 JKU new kept it until late 2016 and traded it in on my wife's Benz.....lasted until last month and wanted another Jeep, found my 05 TJ and love it. I think I will play with the TJ until 2020 when the first of the 2019 half door rubis come back on lease turn back...probably still keep the TJ, really like the simplicity of it.

On the new JL, it just bogs the heck out of me why they have those front bumper looks like a banana boat though. Is that all they can do? It is out of place.

I too had a JK, and it was meh....wasn't a Rubicon so I never really loved it. The JL is tempting. Can't wait to drive one. I'm not so sold on the interior tho. Has a renegade vibe to me. To modern looking for my taste. The exterior makes up for it tho.

I bought a Renegade for my teenage son and I hated the interior with a passion.
I agree with you on the inside. They went for the CJ front slotted grill, they should have toned it down with a simple dash board "like the real CJ".
I also do not get the front bumper being a banana shaped ends. But overall, I will buy that JL against the JK. I will upgrade the front bumper though. I hated it in the JK and they kept it on the JL.
