We were way way Norcal up in Oregon just North of Klamath Falls.
On Saturday Laura and I took off early 4:30am, up to Crater Lake to catch the sunrise.

It was our first time. Only the south rim is open during winter. Definitely worth it to catch the sunrise as we were the first ones up and not having been there just tried to get to the Rim. Once there we played around a little and tried to get the the AWD to break loose but it wouldn’t lol.
Better that it being packed in the summer but a lot of the other trails/ roads were closed.

I might head up Hull Mt. on the 10th, weather pending. Haven't been up that way since the latest fires, so not sure what the pickings will be. There used to be a good spot of silver tips up the M60 before the M1 intersection.
We got our tag but still need to get up there. Its all match sticks up the M2/M4 so we might have to try the FH-7. We saw some really nice trees up around Green Springs but not sure if we can make it that far lol
Yep, gonna be slim pickings up there. But hey, at least they saved the spotted owls. Oh wait, no the didn't. Ugh!

Nope, not looking too promising. Rain rolled in tonight and it's supposed to dump this weekend.
We need the rain though.
