Perfect. It is guys like you that should try to bring a single quality product with a reasonable degree of usefulness to market. Once you do that, you'll never again bitch about the price of anything good.
Forging die for the arms is about 20 grand. Arms in production will cost you 25-30 bucks each pre processed.
5 bucks each for splining in quantities of 3-400
5-6 bucks each for coating
buck per sticker. Amortize the forging die out over 1000 arms and add another 20 each and hope you sell a 1000. If not, the cost per arm is higher.
Machine the pinch bolt hole and slot, with the adjustment holes 4-5 bucks.
That puts your cost for just the arms at 120 bucks per pair.
No one can get that torsion bar done for less than 135 bucks in quantity by the time you buy the chromolly, machine it down to size, spline it with timed splines and drill and tap the ends for the bolts.
Now you're at 255.00.
Links are minimum 8 bucks each.
Rod ends for quality are 30 each
locknuts are 45 cents each in big quantities
Jam nuts are 40 cents each in big quantities.
UHMW bushings for each end of the tube are 10 bucks each.
You're up to 415 now and you've tied up the better part of a 100 grand with no packaging, no dealer profit, and assholes overseas knocking off your shit so the cheapasses in the US will take one for the team.
Just in case you think my numbers are that far off. I just finished up my tail light project with a few extra odds and ends for the next run. I've got 40 grand tied up in that and I'm buying shit 6000 pieces at a time of some stuff to make some of the economies of scale work for me. That's a small run of a couple of hundred pieces.
Go ahead, try to make a product and get it out there for sale, I dare you.

All I did was offer to try one and people get pissed. If it's crap I will be sure to objectively tell the world instead of just speculate.
Oh and I never offered to make my own but there have been plenty of similar applications that don't cost near as much. Yes I know it's not for a Jeep, save the lecture.
And if I get to the point where I'm ready to spend AntiRock money I'd spend 150 more for one of the Dual Rate options out there.
There was a member on here selling his anti rock for 75 plus shipping today, you should've jumped on that one

Dang I totally would have! Trust me I'd much rather have an antirock. I try to keep an eye out for used ones locally.
Keep your eye on the for sale section here, I bought my anti rock off here for like $250, they come up fairly often for the guys switching over to the sway loc
No one got pissed, toughen up. This forum is heavily discussion based which often comes with challenges to statements. Some people know more than you - maybe some times you know more than them. That's how discussion goes.
There's loads of issues with the product you pictured for the dual link sway bar option, are you open to talking about that or if we make comments will you complain then too?

That makes me happy that I try to find out who else is sponsoring someone before I kick down. If they had managed to convince me to comp them a set of brakes like they requested and then later wound up installing that piece of shit on the same rig, I'd hate myself for being associated with them and that product. My first question is always who else is involved in the build.

do it! I think its pretty fair to test anything that may save a buck or two... I know that quality costs and that guys like John Currie are the ones that develop all the great stuff and we should support as much as we can.... but I do agree to look for cheaper alternatives if possible.... so go ahead and post it... I'll be the first commenting your post...

I wouldn't spend 200 bucks for a knoc off antirock... but I would definitely want to see someone get one and discuss with him what were the pros and cons... what's the problem?
