Mine arrived today. Box was a little damaged and a small flat spot on one of the cat flanges. Will be packing it up and sticking it in the attic until I need it.

Those that have installed, how’d the O2 sensors and hardware transfer over? Any issues or do you replace it all during install?

02s were fine

I chose to use new fasteners since mine looked awful.

The kit is good to go

Good to hear. Where’d you source the fasteners? I want to get everything together before I start the install.

Rich

I just brought my fasteners with me to ACE and got flange style as the replacements. That’s all I can remember.

I also use nickel based anti-seize, which is good up to 2400*f and have been happy with the results (I’ve taken mine off a few times)

If I wanted to connect these two with one of those wide band type clamps instead of the supplied U-bolt, what is the proper term for them to search for one?

Are there any that are better than the others?

Something like this?

Why not the u-bolt clamp?

Ahh, yes. Thank you.

I like how this is 2 pieces compared to the 1 piece that my jeep came with. I feel like it would be easier to take apart in the future if I'm doing something like removing the oil pan. My experience with U-bolts usually involves dimpling the tubing make it hard to separate. Unless what I've worked on was overtightened or something.

Do those type of clamps require any type of material to seal it? Like an RTV or something. Probably dumb questions, but I've never used anything like them.

The Walker style ones I used with my muffler have a small amount of black sealant on them between the bolts. The band style can leak where the band curves/bends up into the bolt section.
