I grew tired of the Anti Rock sway bar on road. I only put around 2-3000 miles on my LJ each year, but it was enough for me to decide to put the stock sway bar back on, especially since I might take it offroad 1-2 times a year these days. This Swayloc has me reconsidering!

You won't be sorry. Arguably the best mod for the money.

Well good news! I ordered the SwayLOC yesterday to replace my Teraflex single rate s/t swaybar. I found a shop that is interested in the Teraflex swaybar so they are going to remove the Teraflex and install the SwayLOC. Best part is, they are going to cover the labor to do the swap because i'm giving them the Teraflex for free in return for installing my SwayLOC. I should have it all done next week after it shows up. My LJ will have SwayLOC up front and I just installed the rear Currie Antirock on it last week. Should be nice and stable offroad in the rocks.

This has been a really good thread and I appreciate everyone’s comments. Reading assorted information and hearing a few experiences from my mechanic, it seems there have been SwayLOC quality issues and a few folks have had problems with them. Are those problems in the past? Were those growing pains and has the product matured into top quality? Any current reports of issues? I’m planning a mild build (2.5” OME, 1” body and motor mount lift, tummy tuck on 33’s) and want to maintain my LJ’s road manners. I’m weighing SwayLOC vs Antirock vs swaybar with disconnects, one of them will be on my build plan. So I’m double checking with everyone here before I write a big check. I’m leaning towards SwayLOC, and would appreciate updates of success stories and concerns. My stock LJ sees a lot of highway (2-3 hours to trails) and mountain roads. Thanks, in advance for you thoughts.

Outside of maybe a few shops, I doubt you'll find any that have installed and been around more of them than I have. The only quality issue I'm aware of in the current iteration which is about 7-8 years old, are the link rod ends. Some of them wear faster than they should.

My TJ is set up pretty much the same as how you're planning and I also drive 1-2 hours on the freeway to/from trails. Initially, I had JKS Quicker Disconnects up front and ran them for about 5 years. I upgraded to the SwayLoc not quite 2 years ago, and can say it's one of the best things I've done. On-road manners were fine with the discos, but are even better now (actually rides/drives better now than in stock form). Off-road is greatly improved as well, feeling more in control or 'planted' in off-road mode than with the axle disconnected as previously configured. No quality or maintenance issues thus far, although my TJ isn't a daily and only sees 5-6k miles/year.

I haven’t had any issue with the heims. I’ve had it 2+ years. If you have trouble get some good heims and be done with it. Dual rate rocks!

Is anybdy running the swayloc with 16'' travel shocks ? Is that possible ?

I run a swaylock with 14” Coilovers. I do not believe 16” travel would cause any problem for the swaylock. Just don't wheel it in street mode - it will break when flexed out that much.

Does anyone know if the Swayloc will work with a GenRight Stubby bumper without any issues?
